This was followed by the 'Little House on the Prairie' series by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I still have both sets of books and no snowy winter is complete without reading 'The Long Winter' and we think we have got it tough.buttercuphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03306948153281164640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4922046173955540379.post-44044039034290523852012-09-30T17:55:26.313+01:002012-09-30T17:55:26.313+01:00I loved these stories when I was little, thanks fo...I loved these stories when I was little, thanks for taking me down memory lane! I love the way MMM and LFS are left at home one night to make their own supper and how MMM gets up in the night to warm milk on the stove for a baby hedgehog. Our favourite is the one where MMM and BB fall in the river in their clean clothes.
We've got an original Bunchy book which is ancient.
I'm off to read your other post now.
Ellie
xJelly Jamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12029603137218809633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4922046173955540379.post-67227861436962988242012-09-29T18:13:38.327+01:002012-09-29T18:13:38.327+01:00I never read Milly Molly Mandy so thank you for th...I never read Milly Molly Mandy so thank you for the taster !BadPennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09889591351222591488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4922046173955540379.post-74288036139970001672012-09-29T15:35:52.456+01:002012-09-29T15:35:52.456+01:00The story about the stripey dress fabric is one of...The story about the stripey dress fabric is one of the few that I remember well from childhood xlovelygreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03864666054403517265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4922046173955540379.post-22627421354788627282012-09-29T15:29:28.508+01:002012-09-29T15:29:28.508+01:00I used to read these to my eldest, reprints of cou...I used to read these to my eldest, reprints of course, I agree they are such sweet, simple and practical tales.
