What are your memories of 1976?

  1. Oh the glorious long hot summer of 76 ... space hoppers, paddling pools and those tunes on the radio too. I was 10 years old it was a summer of freedom and ice lollies ~ Sarah x

    1. And bottles of squash put in the freezer to take to school and cool you down!

  2. We were living in Colorado Springs, Colorado I was a Special Education Aide. Loved Colorado one of the nicest places we'd lived.

  3. That amazing summer I worked on a switchboard for a company on Piccadilly, just opposite Fortnum & Masons all summer. We closed the office early each day because of the heat. It was a wonderful summer....lunch in Green Park every day, I had a well paid job, I loved London and I finished work early each day...perfect.

  4. I took my O levels that year, I remember the exam rooms being stifling.

Oh those songs, too me back...I have many in my record collection!

  5. I remember the heatwave and my dad rigging up a bath outside the kitchen window to catch the kitchen sink water to water the garden !
Swapshop was fab - remember poshpaws ?
    Happy days x

    1. I don't remember poshpaws - clearly not as much of a fan as I thought!
