Oh where oh where has my needle gone?

Is it somewhere on my new work table (aka the dining room table)?

Is it somewhere on, or near, the cutting mat?

Is it stabbed somewhere in the ironing board?

Or stuck in the half-done cottages I thought I'd get finished this morning (if it weren't for the lost needle)?

Maybe the post box gobbled it up?

Perhaps it's stitching away industriously, under its own steam, doing the hem of this tablecloth smock?

Maybe one of the nine new needlecases has claimed it for its own?
(After all, what is a needlecase without needles?)

Or maybe my bottom will find it when I next sit down on the chair where I was stitching before I lost it?

I DO have more than one needle (obviously) but there is something so disconcerting about a lost one in the hub of the home!  I wonder whose foot will find it first?

  1. Very cute post . . . I do hope you find it, and not in a hurtful way. A needle is a bothersome thing to loose. I love you little needle-cases. Thank you for following my blog. I'm looking forward to visiting each other and sharing ideas. Have a marvelous day, Connie :)

  2. That' so annoying when you're in the middle of doing something ... but love your work! Especially the cottages and postboxes, oh, and the smock. Please can I ask what colour pink you have on your walls? I want to give my bathroom a revamp and am looking for the perfect pink. Have a lovely day, Claire xx

  6. I am a terror for losing needles. K doesn't grumble very often but he does grumble - a lot - when his foot makes contact with pin or needle. Ouch. Your makes are realy fab-u-lous and the post boxes well wow what an original idea and the baby smock - swoon.

  7. Stunning work, Alix! The little smock is just ADORABLE! Lost pins and needles always worry me - especially with cats and dogs in the house - their feet are bound to find it! Hope yours turns up before your feet find it!
