So we're home again!
Though I was sorry to leave behind this view in the morning...
...this kind of scenery during the day...
...warming drinks beside woodburners...
...the all round magical-ness of the spell that winter casts...
...and even the thrill of shooting down the slopes, trying to keep up with the rest of the family...
...it is NICE to be home!
(How much did it rain whilst we were away?
We could barely get the front door open, it's so swollen!)
Welcome back to the land of grey skies, drizzle and downpours! There has been rain a plenty, but a bit of blue sky too to make one dream of spring - the bulbs are poking up already and my primulas have never stopped flowering!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so pretty where you've been, blue sky and snow, and cosy indoors - I hope you had a wonderful time Alix.
Happy New year!

Welcome home Alix ad Happy New Year xxx
ReplyDelete... we also have swollen doors after non stop torrential rain ... how I long for snow and a view like what you have just left - it looks absolutely magical. Snow transforms the landscape into a wonderland.
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful, a holiday to remember! :) x
