I'm not really the romantic sort.
It got knocked out of me early by the sorts of boys I knew at school who thought that this was how to do it...
Hence my idea of a Valentine's Day treat for my dear husband was this last year.
But this year I splashed out with a card that I'm sure the vintage lovers out there will like...
(The back is so cute - love the lack of anonymity and the formality!)
And to save him the hassle, I got another, from the same source, for me!
That Billy Cleaver certainly inspired someone's devotion!
They are so cute! Happy Valentine's Day.

Aah, they're gorgeous, can't resist a vintage valentine. I once got a card from a boyfriend where he called me 'Dude'. As in "love ya loads, Dude". And he drew a little logo of the band he was into at the time (he was in his 20s...)

Your scrappy paper school valentine is hilarious, although I must admit I much better prefer the gorgeous vintage ones that you and your hubby gave each other........thank you for the award, I shall post about it at the end of this week........sock knitting permitting.

Aww I wonder if Billy & Martha married. I have my Great Aunt's dance cards & invitations & a love letter or two tho she never married.
ReplyDeleteI gave hubby a card with a boat on - his true love !
