I could have called this post 'Dream hallway one step closer' but as I'm in a bit of a devilish mood this evening, somehow I couldn't resist the temptation to remind everyone of one of those songs that is probably best consigned to the very depths of the grey matter.
By means of distraction now, I will offer you these photos of one of the things that came home with me from The Maltings Market yesterday...

It has a lovely tinkley ring and a few little knocks that make it clear it has led a long and busy life!

It's a lovely acorn design, which is handy as the newel post at the bottom of the stairs is capped with an acorn. All we're short of now is some cable and a few pulleys so Mr U-t-B can rig it together.
I am so completely thrilled with it!
