Happy Days!
I might be a bit tired, but I had a good day at The Maltings, even though it was decidedly quiet on the customer front. I managed to sell Poppy
(gosh - that sounds heartless!)...
...and her bed...
Poppy has gone to be loved and cared for by a little girl called Jean. Awww!
I had the usual nice chatty time with fellow stall-holders, including a new neighbour, Fiona, who sells fab vintage things and is great fun.
She has a website
(oh and a blog! StraightTalkingMamma)
both of which I just know the retro-fans out there will love!
My happy mood was further enhanced by stopping by here and seeing that the Follower counter has just clicked its way into a new decade, a significant one to boot!!
As I have been left so many lovely and supportive comments over the past days and weeks (especially in trying times), not least of which was the comment left for me by my new, 50th follower, I have decided that it is time for a GIVEAWAY! I have not yet decided what, but will have a rootle around in the boxes that came home with me a while ago and find something I think will appeal! Details to follow!
The most observant amongst you may have noticed that I have changed my Profile Photo. I was bored of Red Riding Hood (lovely though she is) and, let's face it, there aren't that many similarities between me and her anyway. So I tried to find an actual and fairly recent photo of me, but failed miserably (will get round to posing sweetly one day).
So in the meantime I found this grainy one...
Don't you love my Mum's Renault 4? |
... of a very happy me, about to embark on my first ever camping trip, with Guides, when I was ten, I guess.
This snap makes me smile because I look pleased as punch, but in this one, taken moments later, my expression has changed...
...and it is my brother and sister who are grinning from ear to ear at the thought of a week without me!!!
I can remember going to Guide camp - quite an adventure for a quiet wee soul (as I was, and still am - ahem)! Yes, your expression says it all!

Glad you had a good time and love the photo. It's strange isn't it that though we bloggers always seem to have a camera in our hands, we rarely get in front of it!
ReplyDeleteJust discovered your blog, Love the dolly and bed so sweet.
